The SPCA Veterinary Care Center is a non-profit organization that provides wellness care, including spay & neuter surgeries, vaccinations, exams, heartworm testing & prevention, flea & tick prevention, & microchipping for privately owned dogs & cats. 100% of generated revenue supports the SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare's ongoing mission to protect, care for and rehome stray, abandoned, neglected & abused animals in our community. 

SERVICES & PRICES

For the safety of our staff, other patrons and their pets, we require cats to be in hard carriers and dogs on a leash (NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES ALLOWED).

Spay/Neuter surgeries MUST be scheduled in advance. Call (803) 648-6864. We ask that supporters call between the hours of 9am - 12pm and 1pm - 3pm on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday to reach our front desk. If no one is available, PLEASE leave a detailed voicemail and a staff member will return your call within 1-2 business days. 

 

​Surgeries, including voucher surgeries, will require a nonrefundable $15 - $30 deposit at the time of scheduling your pet's appointment that will be applied toward the surgery.

  • Already sterilized but received pre-surgical drugs

  • Pregnant or in heat animal

  • Open umbilical hernia or cryptorchid male (any male animal with one or both testicles undescended)

  • If your pet is infested with fleas you WILL be charged an additional $10.00 - $12.00 Capstar treatment fee.  

  • Prescribed take home medications

A spay & neuter voucher program is offered to Aiken County/North Augusta, City of Aiken & Edgefield County residents for low-income pet owners.
